The golfing gods came to our rescue and kept the rain away. The 'track' was heavy and as a consequence the majority of scores were lower than usual, with the exception being Sally Hopkins who on a handicap of 11 managed to score a magnificent 38 on what most of us thought was a difficult day. There were 62 starters. Results were:
Division 1. Winner. Sally Hopkins off 11 with a score of 38
2nd Sandra Kunze off 24 with a score of 33, and
3rd. Kerrie McInerney off 22 with a score of 31
Division 2. Winner. Elaine Clarke off 34 with a score of 33, from
2nd. Veneice Higgins off 30 with a score of 30
Division 3. Winner. Charmaine Armbruster off 43 with a score of 32, from
2nd. Deanne Curby off 35 with a score of 29 on a count back from
3 rd. Jan Hoban off 35 also with a score of 29
Nearest the Pins
Division 1. 2/11. M. Day. 4/13. Alison Bone. 15th Susan Muna
Division 2. 2/11. Lynne Howell. And. 15th. Cheryl Ledger
Division 3. 2/11. Deanne Curby. And. 4/13. Jan Hoban
Things to note from our meeting were
*. Alter 16 April to read shotgun start 7 30am for an 8 00am start in order for special extra ordinary meeting regarding a change of name for Terrigal Golf Club.
*. Jenny reminded us all that our balls need to be marked clearly
Best wishes to all the girls attending Hawks Nest on 1,2 and 3 of March.

Opening Day Central Coast Women's Golf Assn
Monday 16 February saw 20 Terrigal ladies attend the district Opening Day at Wyong Golf course. It was one of our first opportunities to wear our 'away' uniform. We felt very proud as a number of ladies from other clubs commented on how smart we looked. There was a huge field of aprox. 170 golfers. The team from Mangrove Mountain took out 1st place with Shelley Beach ladies in 2nd place. Our team of Jenny Chapman, Nell Spargo, Kerrie McInerney and Deanne Curby came home with 3rd place. Not bad from such a large field!

Our sincere thanks go to these men and to Rick Webb for the tender meat he provided. A lovely treat! Thank you to Judi Eaton for organising this lunch.

Open Day - further notes
Just in case of rain on 12 February - you are invited to come along at 12 noon for a steak sandwich before proceeding into the club house for our meeting at approx. 1pm. As indicated in our previous note there will be continuous comp., Stableford shoot out, away games, etc., etc to pay for on this first day. It would be a great help if you could bring some smaller notes eg: $5; $10 and $20 as well as some gold coins for entry to the smaller comps.
We look forward to seeing you all next week.
